get started on your healing journey

Welcome! I’m Carolyn

I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. Based in the beautiful Fraser Valley, B.C., on the unceded territory of the Stó:lō People, I am grateful to work in a place where the land, rivers, and mountains remind us of our innate capacity for healing and renewal. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, I offer virtual counselling to women across British Columbia. Reaching out for support takes courage, and I consider it an honour to be welcomed into your therapeutic journey

Do any of these statements sound familiar?

“I feel like I’ve lost myself. I don’t know who I am anymore”

“I feel stressed & overwhelmed-I don’t know how to cope”

“I want to figure out my direction/next step”

“Becoming a mom has been overwhelming/challenging”

“My classroom is burning me out. I need new strategies to cope”

“I am exhausted. I don’t feel supported”

“I am struggling in my personal relationships”

“I worry a lot. I am always feeling anxious”

“I don’t feel joy/pleasure anymore. I feel down all the time”

“Nature makes me feel better/clear/calm… I need more of that”

I work with adult women and am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be part of each person’s unique therapeutic journey. My practice is grounded in a supportive, collaborative, and strengths-based approach, where I help women connect with their inherent strengths, inner wisdom, self-worth, intuition, and personal goals. I also provide specialized support in perinatal mental health and am committed to helping women navigate the changes and challenges that can accompany this important life transition.

I work with teachers and educators, and I am passionate about “supporting the supports.” With over ten years of experience working within a school district, I have a deep understanding of the challenges that teachers and support staff face. I am committed to offering meaningful, tailored support that may include addressing burnout, developing personal care plans, navigating role transitions, exploring solutions to classroom challenges, increasing knowledge of child and youth mental health, promoting mental-health-friendly classroom practices, and incorporating nature-inclusive approaches into classrooms and lesson plans.

Nature-inclusive therapy: Connecting with nature has been widely shown to have a powerful, positive impact on mental health. In therapy, a nature-inclusive approach may involve learning how the natural world supports well-being, exploring meaningful ways to connect with nature, embracing other living beings as wise teachers, and engaging in nature-based practices. While this approach can include outdoor sessions, it does not depend on them. Nature-inclusive work can be integrated into therapy in many accessible ways. If you’re interested in integrating a nature-guided approach into your therapeutic journey, I can help you.

Fees, Insurance & Cancellations

fees & Billing

Current counselling rates are $150 (CAD) for a 50-minute session.

*Please note - Direct billing is not provided. There is software that takes care of the booking & payment details and keeps this information for you in your online account. When you register as a client, you will be asked to enter a credit card to book your first session. After each session, payment will be processed automatically and a receipt will be emailed to you. If you have an extended benefit plan, you can then submit this receipt to your plan provider.

Insurance

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and I hold professional registration with the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). If you have extended health benefits, some of your counselling expenses might be covered. Please check with your insurance provider before your first session to ensure that your plan covers counselling with a Registered Clinical Counsellor.

Cancellation Policy

Your session is reserved especially for you- However, I understand that life happens and at times you may need to cancel an appointment. The cancellation policy requires 48 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. This allows for respectful use of time and the best benefit for all clients who are waiting to book.

*Clients who provide less than 48 hours notice will be charged a $50 fee, and if there is less than 24 hours notice or the appointment is missed, a full session fee will be charged to the credit card on file.
